The Trust Bank (ttb) has added Moneygram to its line of international money transfer service.
The bank also operates Vigo and Western Union Money transfer services in all of its 20 branches nationwide.
General Manager of Business Development at ttb, Mr. Osei Asafo-Adjei told Adom News the bank would open10 more branches nationwide this year to make it easier for people to have access to their Moneygram and other services.
He said as part of the launch, ttb is also introducing a promotion dubbed “Double, Double” to offer people who use their Moneygram services the chance to win prizes within the month of February.
“Customers will get gifts immediately they collect their Moneygram cash at the bank and also get the chance to win Valentine’s Day dinner for two between February 1 and 14, and other prizes between February 15 and 28,” he said.
Mr. Asafo-Adjei assured Ghanaians that ttb has settled its minimum deposit of GH¢60 million with the Bank of Ghana ahead of the 2012 deadline, adding “we even have a surplus of over GH¢60 million with the BOG so there is no need to fear doing business with us.”
The Marketing Manager for Anglophone West Africa at Moneygram, Mr. Gabriel Wilson also told Adom News that ttb has joined over 600 moneygram outlets in Ghana.
He said so far Moneygram is available in 14 banks, their sub-agencies and other outlets.
