The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi may be compelled to evacuate bodies in the hospital's old mortuary if engineers are unable to put the facility back in operation in the next few hours.
The container mortuary has been out of order since Sunday while the new mortuary is full, compelling authorities to suspend admission of new corpses from private hospitals and even the Police Hospital.
The Public Relations Officer of the hospital Mr. Kwame Frimpong told Luv FM in Kumasi that engineers were working round the clock to restore operations as soon as possible.
He however added if the fault was not rectified by Tuesday, the hospital will have no alternative but to relocate the dead bodies in the morgue.
