The Police administration is on the heels of one of its own, Detective Inspector Justice Oppong, for narcotics offences.Oppong was the head of the Monitors Unit of the Greater Accra Regional Police command. The detective who was an investigator and a prosecution witness in the famous MV Benjamin cocaine case, has been named in connection with another drugs case at Tema and is wanted to assist in investigations along with nine other police suspects under arrest. The Director of CID Operations, Assistant Commissioner of Police Charles Tokor told Joy News that on two occasions that the interdicted Justice Oppong was required to help the police in their investigations, his counsel intervened with a promise to produce him but failed, thereby thwarting the efforts of the Service.ACP Tokor said Justice Oppong would be tried in absentia if he fails to put in an appearance and appealed to the public to assist in his arrest.
