The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Bank of Ghana would commence its 43rd regular meeting on Monday, February 14, to review developments in the economy, according to a statement issued by the Bank of Ghana on Wednesday.
The statement signed by Ms Esi Hammond of the Public Relations Unit of the Central bank said the meeting would end with a decision on the appropriate positioning of the Bank's policy rate.
It said the MPC would hold a press conference on February 18 to announce its decision.
The Bank of Ghana in December last year said: "After having made an assessment of developments in the economy for the first 11 months of the year and factoring in risks in the outlook for inflation, the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of Ghana decided to keep its Monetary Policy Rate unchanged at 13.5 per cent".
