Former Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has resigned from Saudi side Al Ahly after five months in charge, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The Serb joined the Jeddah-based side in September last year in a bumper deal after rejecting a contract extension to stay on as Black Stars coach on a back of a successful Fifa World Cup campaign.
Rejavac claims he had to part ways with the club due to family problems back home in Serbia.
Club president Prince Fahd Bin Khalid has expressed shocked at his decision to leave the club on Saturday at this critical stage of the season.
Ahli Jeddah are now placed 7th in the 14 team table of the Zain Saudi Professional League after 17 matches.
He has struggled to replicate the magic that sent Ghana to the quarter-final of the 2010 World Cup finals.
Rajevac won his last game in charge in a 2-1 win over Najran.
