A group calling itself Friends of Atta Mills in the Central Region is calling on the president to sack the Central Regional Minister, Ama Benyiwa Doe.They say the minister has neglected the party, and developmental projects for the region have not seen the light of day.Central regional correspondent, Richard Kojo Nyarko reports the group is contending that the party stands to suffer a drubbing in the region in the next elections should the minister remain at post.They claim Ama Benyiwa Doe had been publicly disgracing members of the party with her abrasive attitude and want not only her dismissal but also an apology from her for disgracing the regional Communications Director of the NDC, Allotey Jacobs over a contract she ought to have given him.One of the aggrieved supporters said for two years since the party came into power they are still jobless and the minister is doing nothing to address the situation.“She should know that it is the president’s region. She has to go and lobby for development projects for the region, she is not doing that and everybody is complaining,” another said.Source: Joy News/Ghana
