Accra Hearts of Oak Sunday were kicked out of the ongoing MTN FA Cup succumbing on penalties to Berekum Arsenals.
Arsenals opened scoring in the opening 30 minutes of the game played at the Accra Sports Stadium through Eric Asiedu but hearts managed to equalize.
With the equalizer, the Phobians’ hopes were rekindled but Ernest Obeng dimmed their hopes by putting Arsenals back in front.
Hearts laboured hard and eventually equalized but the Berekum appeared more determined or rather the lucky side as they won 6 – 5 on penalties.
The pressure is set to mount on Hearts new coach Vucicevic Nebosja.
Sunday’s match was his first competitive match and he hoped to revive the hopes of the struggling club but that was not to be.
