The Ashanti Regional and constituency executives of the opposition New Patriotic Party have resolved to bury their differences as they prepare for the party’s parliamentary primaries.Nominations for the April primaries are opening today and the executives believe the party needs a united front more than ever to ensure only winnable candidates who will bring more votes for victory in 2012 are elected.NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo has been psyching up party supporters ahead of the primaries with appeals to them not to repeat past mistakes.Nana Addo’s Campaign Manager, Boakye Agyarko told Joy News he believes the message is going down well.“They understand the logic of it and they themselves have been looking forward to it because they saw the impact of the disorganised parliamentary primaries on the previous elections,” Mr Agyarko said.Source: Joy News/Ghana
