The Mills-Mahama, National Democratic Congress (NDC) government must stop paying lip service only to the motivation of teachers. Our children and the future of this country are far too important to be ill served by a mixture of incompetence and cynicism glossed over by empty rhetoric.
We in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), promise the teachers of Ghana our full support in helping to make the public aware of the shameless and incompetent way their concerns have failed to be addressed.
We will also help in motivating public opinion in order to generate genuine public participation to find an amicable solution to the impasse.
In the meantime however we call upon teachers all over the country, in the spirit of our Independence anniversary, not to let our children pay the price for the incompetence of the Mills-Mahama government.
Don’t punish the pupils/students, let them continue in school whilst the government and all stakeholders find a solution to the problem.
We are in this together and we will not forsake you.
