A group calling itself the Northern Youth Peace Development is pushing for the selection of Alan Kyeremanten as running mate for the party’s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo.
The group claims to have conducted nationwide polls, the results of which proved that Alan will make it easier for the party to win the 2012 elections.
It made it public at a news conference in Accra on Wednesday.
Spokesperson of the group Prince Adams said any other choice will spell doom for the party.
According to him, four other candidates were included in the polls but all fingers were pointing to one direction-Alan Kyeremanten.
In an interview with Joy News' Kweku Obeng Adjei, Prince Adams admitted that Alan Kyeremanten is not happy with the approach adopted by the group.
