Reigning champions of the National Women’s League, Fabulous Ladies made a disappointing start to their campaign at this year’s championship after losing 1-0 to in-form debutants Soccer Intellectuals at the Prempeh College Park yesterday.
Grace Adams struck in the 69th minute to deny Fabulous Ladies victory on the day.
Chief Executive of Soccer Intellectuals Robert Duncan tells Joy Sports his side was well psyched to win the game.
He said even though his side went to the game as the underdogs, he had told them to believe that it was possible to overcome their formidable opponents – and they did.
Elsewhere at the OWASS Park, Ghatel Ladies were held to a 1-1 draw by new entrants Reformers Ladies.
Hasaacas Ladies also drew 1-1 with Fiapre Ladies at the WESCO Park.
