Mobile telecommunications giant, MTN, is offering existing subscribers who register their SIM cards GHS2 free airtime.
A statement from the company said the GHS2 airtime will be pushed every morning to existing subscribers who registered their numbers the previous day.
It said the offer was in line with MTN Ghana’s commitment to ensure that by June 30, 2011 all existing subscribers would have registered their numbers.
The promotion targets all existing MTN subscribers who have not yet registered their numbers, and is also aimed at ensuring that all subscribers still keep connected to the MTN big family.
The statement quoted Sales and Distribution Executive of MTN Ghana,
Mr. Ebenezer Asante as saying the company is optimistic it would be able to register all subscribers in order to meet the NCA’s mandatory registration deadline.
According to him, MTN has since the beginning of the registration exercise employed three (3) strategies namely: Accessibility, Simplicity and Innovation to ensure a seamless registration process.
He assured customers that MTN will continue to ensure the safety and security of subscriber information and entreated customers to register their SIM cards at the various MTN customer service centers, MTN Connect stores, dealer shops and other designated registration points across the country.
