President John Mahama has touted his record as a non-violent politician who is committed to ensuring peace before, during and after the December 7 general elections.
"I pledge my utmost commitment to peace," the President told a high-powered international observer mission comprising UN, ECOWAS and the Commonwealth Thursday.
Speaking at an event for all the Presidential Candidates to commit to peace before Ghanaians go to the polls at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra, Mr Mahama said from 1996 when he entered parliament, he has urged his followers to maintain the peace.
As President, therefore, he has more to lose if the country disintegrates into violence, he added.
