President John Mahama has expressed disappointment at what he believes are underhand tactics employed by the opposition NPP to try and deny the NDC of victory in the general elections.
At one of the last campaigns before the December 7 elections in Dormaa in the Brong Ahafo Region Monday, the President stressed his trust in God to expose any diabolic plans hatched by the NPP.

He made particular reference to reports that fake ballot papers thumb-printed for president John Dramani Mahama had been found in a hotel room in Ashanti region.
The Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as "Chairman Wontumi" led the police to the Madison Lodge where the papers were found.

The President referred to unconfirmed reports that an NPP member booked the hotel room and kept the fake ballot papers there.
"They took fake ballot papers into a hotel room and later turned around to accuse the NDC of trying to rig the elections," Mahama said.
The President cautioned the NPP that, "God is not asleep and he sees everything we do in the dark."
Sharing his own observation about the NPP campaign, President Mahama observed that the NPP has consistently worked to discredit the Electoral Commission (EC).
"If you observe their strategy you can see they want to create trouble... every day, they are insulting the EC" he said.
The NDC Presidential Candidate said the NPP wants to pollute the minds of Ghanaians to win their supports that the only way he [John Mahama] can win the 2016 general elections is if the EC rigged it for him.
They want to find a way to reject the results if the NDC wins, the president told his supporters.

President John Mahama has been urging NDC supporters not to give in to any provocation no matter what happens on election day because it's all part of a ploy to create disaffection against the governing party.
"I know they are spoiling for a fight but I am urging all our supporters... don't let anybody provoke you, don't let anybody provoke you," he said at a rally at Nalerigu in the Northern Region Saturday.
He added, "there will be a deliberate attempt to provoke you so that there will be trouble and then the international community and everybody will say the Ghanaian election was marred by violence."
