A man believed to be in his twenties has been arrested by police in Old Tafo for allegedly voting twice in the ongoing voting exercise.
Narrating the incident, Joy News’ Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Nurudeen Mohammed said the young man approached Electoral Commission officials to receive the ballot for the presidential election.
He went through the Biometric Verification Machine (BVM) to check his information and was asked to sign the manual verification sheet.

The reporter said the man headed to the voting screen after he was issued with the presidential ballot only to be spotted pulling another ballot out of his pocket.
EC officials and political party representatives rushed to stop the man from dropping the ballots in the presidential ballot box.

The man was arrested and sent to the Old Tafo Police station.
Asked who he voted for, the man said he voted to retain incumbent President John Mahama.
The Joy News reporter said the papers are in the custody of the police pending investigation.
