Disagreement over destruction of a tree pushed a 55-year-old man to hit his relative with an iron bar at Teshie-Greda Estate in Accra.
Francis Kubi allegedly hit and injured Philip Agudu with the iron bar Thursday morning following the disagreement.
The sister of the injured who gave her name only as Felicia narrated the incident to Joy News.
According to her, the tree in question was planted behind the gate to the victim's house making it virtually impossible to open the gate without the tree being affected.
She said when her brother opened the gate it accidentally hit the tree destroying it in the process.
This angered Francis Kubi who started arguing with the victim and later struck him with the iron bar.
The victim was rushed to the hospital with his blood stained shirts, Felicia reported.
Police in Teshie are aware of the incident but have declined comment.
