Scores of citizens of Anlo in the Volta region Friday morning held a peaceful demonstration against a contempt case filed by a faction opposed to the new paramount chief, Togbui Sri III.They marched through the streets of Keta before presenting a petition to the Municipal Chief Executive, Sylvester Tornyava.A spokeperson of the group, Torgbui Sobo III told Joy News the Anlo land has seen little development as a result of the absence of a chief for the past 13 years. He called on the three royal families to bury their differences and consider the larger interest of the Anlo state.“We wish to make the following appeal that every Anlo citizen anywhere in the world who loves Anlo should join hands with the new Awomefia to develop the area,” Torgui Sobo III said.Ghana’s Ambassador to Malaysia, Dan Abodapki, is among those who have been sued.
