The Managing Director of Unibank, Amisshadai Owusu-Amoah says the bank is poised to make an even bigger impact as it celebrates its tenth anniversary.
The wholly owned Ghanaian bank established in 2001 to give financial support to SME’s has seen some remarkable growth in its total deposits, loans, profit before tax and shareholders' fund.
In an interview with Joy Business during the launch of the bank’s tenth anniversary celebrations, Mr. Owusu-Amoah played up the banks performance over the years.
He said over the period, the bank has been able to achieve all its set targets.
Mr. Amoah said the bank was putting in place measures to consolidate its performance.
Unibank, he stated, had acquired significant competence in the area of SMEs and was determined to enhance its grip of the sector.
The bank “also wants to come out with various banking products to ensure that the electronic banking sector also grows.”
