The New Patriotic Party’s regional organiser in the Ashanti Region, Kennedy Kankam is optimistic that the party will be stronger after its parliamentary primaries and better positioned to win Election 2012.
“NPP will be very strong after tomorrow; I can see the party is very formidable and we are winning election 2012”.
According to him, with unity, victory in 2012 is assured to salvage Ghanaians from what he said was the failed Mills-led administration.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday, Kennedy Kankam stressed that the NPP has positioned itself as the most viable alternative to the defective rule of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He said the NPP has planned a successful and peaceful primaries to indicate that the the NPP is a united force deserving of the mandate of Ghanaians.
On preparations for Saturday's parliamentary primaries in the region, the Regional Organiser noted that all is set for a smooth exercise.
He explained that arrangements of venues for the voting, ballot papers and security have all been adequately taken care of by the executive.
The Ashanti Region being the stronghold of the NPP is expected to be the most hectic battleground in the primaries on Saturday, however Mr. Kankam observed that there is no cause for alarm.
Kennedy Kankam appealed to the constituency executives to create a level playing field for all candidates and called on every member of the party to rally behind its elected leaders to enable the NPP wrest power from the ruling NDC.
