President John Agyekum Kufuor has released the first batch of names to form his ministerial team to the Speaker of Parliament.The Chief of Staff and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mr Kwadwo Mpiani presented the list on Wednesday.A Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Akwasi Osei-Adjei has now been elevated to the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs. He replaces Nana Akuffo-Addo.The Deputy Minister of Information and National Orientation, Ms Oboshie Sai-Cofie has been promoted as the substantive minister of information. She takes over from her boss, Mr Kwamena Bartels whose name is absent on the list to Parliament.Dr Aggrey Ntim takes over from Professor Mike Ocquaye as the Minister of Communications, the Member of Parliament for Okaikoi South, Nana Akomea bounces back to fill the position of Minister of Manpower, Youth and Employment and the former deputy Minister of Health, Samuel Owusu-Agyei takes over from Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom as the Minister of Public Sector Reforms.The Minister of Trade, Industries and President’s Special Initiatives is now Mr Joe Baidoe-Ansah, who is currently the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Diasporan Relations. He replaces Mr Alan Kyeremanten. Dr Akoto-Osei is now Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.The Upper West Regional Minister, Mr Ambrose Dery has been named Minister of State at the Attorney Generals Department, a new face, Nana Obiri-Boahene goes to the Interior Ministry as a Minister of State whiles Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah remains at the Water Resources Ministry as Minister of State.For regional ministerial positions, Mr George Hikah Benson becomes the Upper West Regional Minister, the Deputy Minister of Trade, Kwadwo Afram Asiedu is now the Eastern Regional Minister and in Upper East region Alhassan Samari has been named.So far these are the names presented to Parliament.
