The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, has urged members of the party to bury their differences now that the premieres are over and work together towards the victory of the party in 2012 elections.
He said this to journalists on Thursday after a closed door meeting Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flag bearer of the party and his campaign team had with the Central Regional and Constituency executives, parliamentary candidates as well as those who lost the primaries.
Mr Obetsebi-Lamptey said the meeting was part of their campaign strategies to "bring all the members together as one people towards the victory of the party."
He appealed to members of the party not to be inspired by the current in-fighting within the NDC and come to conclusion that the party would definitely win power on sliver plaster.
"You should continue to work hard to defeat candidates the NDC would present to contest both the parliamentary and the presidential election," he said.
Mr Obetsebi-Lamptey urged peeved candidates who lost the primaries and have decided to contest the election as independent candidates to discard that notion, adding the party will not hesitate to dismiss such people from the party.
