President Nana Akufo-Addo’s ministers-designate for Trade, Foreign Affairs, Energy and Local Government will take turns Monday at parliament's Appointment Committee for vetting.
They are expected to demonstrate their competence for approval by the 35-member vetting committee.
Alan Kyeremanten, an astute corporate executive and diplomat, was the favourite for the Trade Ministry portfolio, a speculation that was eventually confirmed by the President.
Boakye Agyarko, the minister-designate for Energy, will be expected to answer tough questions from the Committee on the erratic power cut that seems to be gradually creeping in on Ghanaians.
Mr Agyarko has 22 years of experience in Banking, Investments and Finance and is touted as possessing an excellent negotiation, organisation and managerial skills.
Hajia Alima Mahama, who heads to Local Government and Rural Development Ministry, was the Minister for Women and Children’s Affairs in the erstwhile John Kufuor administration.
Shirley Ayorkor, Foreign Affairs minister-designate, has held the same position before, albeit in a deputy capacity.
Meanwhile, the committee has already vetted six of the nominees.
