The Daily Dispatch newspaper says by its calculation, President J.A. Kufuor between January 2001 and December 31, 2006, hired and fired 42 Ministers of State.
“Records from our Research Department indicate that of the 42, only six have been 'politically' rehabilitated, re-appointed to other Ministerial or diplomatic positions,” according to the paper.
The paper on Thursday published a list of what it said was ‘hired and fired’ ministers with their last known positions.

11. Mr. Isaac Edumadze - Central Regional Minister

13. Mr. Ayikoi Otoo - Attorney-General & Minister for Justice

Apart from the 36 listed above, six (6) others who had lost their positions have been 'politically' rehabilitated. They are Mr. Kwadwo Adjei Donkor; Alhaji Mustapha Idris; Mr. Rashid Bawa; Mr. Mogtari Sahanun; Mr. Adjei-Duffour and Mr. Andrews Awuni. They have either been appointed to other Ministerial or diplomatic positions.
