Head of Mission Africa Dr. Kojo Sumney has charged African leaders to start patronizing African made products to turn African economies around. He said Africans would have created the market, employment and wealth for thousands if, for example, they shun foreign clothes and buy African made clothes and products.Dr. Sumney was speaking at a prayer event to mark AU day in Parliament where MPs and several pastors engaged in prayer warfare to seek God’s intervention for the continent. He said the unmeasured desire for western cloths has created employment for people in Europe and America to the detriment of African citizens, saying “enough is enough” of that attitude.Whilst advocating for all to patronize African products, Dr Sumney appealed to the president to ban the importation of any products that could be produced here in Ghana.“Mr President we say in the name of Jesus that things that we can do here don’t import them any more so that our people can create jobs”.Meanwhile, the Convention People’s Party says African Union must take charge of trouble spots on the continent. In a press statement the party says it finds the current developments in Libya unacceptable and wants AU as a matter of urgency, negotiate a ceasefire.Source: Joy News/Myjoyonline.com
