The Get Atta Mills Elected campaign team (GAME) has refused to comment on claims made by MP Michael Teye Nyaunu, Coordinator of the Konadu for 2012 campaign team, that President Mills is incapable of running the state because he is visually impaired.GAME believes it will be a complete waste of time to respond to the baseless allegations being peddled by the Lower Manya Krobo MP to win sympathy votes from party delegates.Michael Teye Nyaunu on Monday, May 23 while addressing party delegates of Ablekuma North, South and Central, alleged that President J.E.A. Mills was not seeing well making it difficult for him to read any document brought to him for scrutiny at the Castle. He said the president’s inability to read important documents has given room for people such as Ato Ahwoi to take control as de facto president. But speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday, a member of GAME, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije noted that the strategy adopted by the Konadu camp does not feature in the scheme of things because the party delegates will decide come July 8.He said the delegates would always put the future of the party first and vote massively for President Mills to retain power in 2012.He observed that the Konadu campaign team can choose to use ‘foul means’ in their campaign but the good works of President Mills will make him victorious in Suynani when the party meets to elect their leader for the 2012 elections. The presidential aide added that they are more focused on propagating the major achievements chalked by President Mills and the NDC just two years in office to retain power in 2012.Nii Lantey Vanderpuiye stressed that President Mills is focused on achieving the Better Ghana he promised Ghanaians and remains unperturbed in the choleric allegations being leveled against him by his opponents just to secure votes. The ruling NDC will on July 8,9,10 meet in Suynani to vote for a candidate to lead the party in election 2012. The contestants are incumbent President Mills being challenged by Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings and Dr. Ekwow Spio Garbrah.Story by: Adwoa Gyasiwaa/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
