The Ghana Cocoa Board is optimistic of achieving its one million tonne production target even before next year. The board's optimism comes on the back of the recent release of its 2010/2011 crop season production figures.COCOBOD describes the figures as the highest since the country registered its name on the international market as a producer of cocoa.Public Affairs Manager at COCOBOD, Noah Amenyo, told Joy Business it could even go beyond the one million target before the 2012/2013 season. He added that the record output could increase the earnings for farmers at the end of the crop season in terms of bonuses.Source: Joy News/Ghana
