West Africa nobles honour IGP

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Paul Tawiah Quaye, has been awarded the Most Effective and Efficient IGP in West Africa by the West Africa Nobles Forum in Accra. In a citation, he was described as a proficient systems administrator with enormous experience in policing formulation, strategic human asset management and organisational change planning. The award was bestowed on him at the 13th West Africa Noble Forum Awards Ceremony. It was received on behalf of the IGP by ACP Kofi Boakye, the Director of Police Training. ACP Boakye said the Police administration had come out with a nine point intervention strategy that would employ constitutionally approved and internationally accepted principle. He said the vision of the administration was to make the Police a world class institution. Other personalities who were presented with awards were Dr. Adu Gyamfi; the Director-General of Prisons, Mr. Kofi Bansah; the Deputy Attorney General, Mr. Ebo Barton-Oduro, Deputy Attorney-General, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong MP for Assin North and Mr. Kwame Ofosu Bamfo of Bamson Company Limited.
