Tigo Ghana has said its Tigo Cash mobile money transfer service is the only one that allows subscribers to send money to loved ones and business associates on other networks.This was contained in a statement that announces the newly introduced TV commercial about the cross-network Tigo Cash service.The statement said “Tigo cash as of today is the only mobile money transfer service in Ghana that allows subscribers to transfer money across all networks. So in effect a Tigo subscriber who wants to send money to a friend or loved one on any network can do so.”“Competition does not have this service,” the statement added.The statement said Tigo Cash has been experiencing increased number of subscriptions and usage from Ghanaians since its launch and has largely been advertised through radio campaigns and point of sale materials.It said now subscribers would see a new Tigo Cash TV commercial that would seek to deepen awareness and also stimulate trial for the service.“The commercial will also address the many usage occasions that Tigo cash can be the enabler for money to be transferred across the country in a simple, safe and convenient manner,” it said.The statement said like most Tigo commercials, the Tigo Cash TV commercial would be engaging, educative and simple to comprehend and understand.The company was optimistic that this commercial would stimulate trial and usage for the service across all sections of the Ghanaian public.
It said the campaign would be driven by TV, print and web press, billboards and a series of events across the countryThe company entreated the public to register (with a valid ID) for the service by visiting “any of our customer service centers or a Tigo cash agents.”“After registering for the service deposit money in your accounts, by dialing *100# then follow the prompts to transfer money,” it said.Source: Adom News/Ghana
