Anti-Corruption campaigner, Paul Collins Appiah-Ofori has reiterated the need for governments to give credit to their predecessors whenever they complete projects and initiatives which were initiated by them.
The Member of Parliament for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa, said it is right and appropriate to give credit where it is due to people who rightly deserve them.
P.C Appiah Ofori made this statement in an interview with Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Adom Dwaso Nsem on Thursday when commenting on numerous complaints by some members in the past NPP administration that President Mills, who is touring parts of the country, is refusing to give credits to the Kufuor-led administration for projects it initiated before leaving office.
He explained that if any government fails to acknowledge its predecessor, the masses would certainly know it and judge them as such.
He added that, owing to the poor practice of politics in the country, politicians find it difficult to give credit to each other.
Meanwhile, Minister of Food and Agriculture, Ato Ahwoi has described as selfish and immature, for governments to refuse to appreciate past administrations on projects they initiated.
