The Communications Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Effia-Kwesi-Mintsim constituency is accusing the Western Regional Chairman of adopting strategies he claims will affect the party flagbearer’s all-hands-on-deck campaign.
In a letter to the party’s Director of Communications, William Ebo Marfo Sam is asking that the Regional Chairman, Nana Owusu Ankomah be brought to order.
Correspondent, Kwaku Owusu Peprah of Radio Maxx in Takoradi, reported that the regional chairman last week wrote a letter to media houses asking them to disregard Mr Marfo Sam as the Communications Officer.
But his position was disputed with the Vice-Chairman arguing the letter lacked merit.
The Regional Communications Officer said the Chairman’s letter was in furtherance of his personal vendetta against him, Marfo Sam.
He believes Mr Owusu Ankomah was begrudging him for not supporting his re-election bid. “We opposed him because we thought he is not performing as a Regional Chairman so maybe this is the time for him to settle scores with me,” he added.
Mr Marfo Sam said his loyalties were with the party and not any individual and challenged the Chairman to drag him before national officers of the party.
