The KMA has re-opened the offices of mobile telecom service providers, MTN and Tigo, which were locked up early on Tuesday for non-payment of property rates. The two companies together owe the assembly about GHS600,000, being outstanding rates since 2009.The KMA's Finance Director, Mr. J.K. Ofori, told Myjoyonline.com in an interview that the assembly has agreed to reopen the offices following a meeting with delegations from the two companies where it was agreed that payment be made by next week Friday. The KMA earlier said it would reopen the offices only when the indebtedness had been cleared. He however warned that failure to pay up by the stipulated date would result in the locking up of the offices again until all debts are settled.Story by Dorcas Efe Mensah/myjoyonline.com/Ghana
