The Agona Swedru District branch of Church of Christ has launched a 50 million-cedi Youth Development Fund to support needy but brilliant students and other young people to learn some trades.
Launching the fund, David Collins Essuman, Director of Swedru International Bible Institute said it would be sad if the youth were neglected, since they would in the future be in leadership positions in the church.
Reverend Ebo Odoom, in charge of Agona Swedru, said the time has come for the Church of Christ to initiate development programmes.
Danso Ntiamoah, Youth Leader of the Church urged partners to provide adequate resources to support the fund.
