Access Bank (Ghana) Limited has opened two new branches at Asafo in Kumasi and Lashibi in Accra, to deliver a new experience in banking to its customers.
The two branches brings Access Banks network to five.
The new branches have model ambience and architecture designed with the Ghanaian customer in mind and conforms to the bank’s standard branch designs throughout its operations in Africa and Europe.
The Lashibi branch opened for operation some four weeks ago as the bank’s 4th branch in Accra. The Kumasi branch, expected to open early August will become the first foray of Access Bank outside the Greater Accra Region, underscoring its business strategy to operate in the major business hubs of the country.
The new branches will offer the bank’s full range of business and retail banking products, including special savings and current accounts, utility bills payment, visa products and e-banking solutions for local and corporate SME, as well as domestic and international money transfers through Western Union.
The Country Managing Director/CEO, Yomi Akapo, said expanding the bank’s branch network is a fulfilment of its mission to bring world-class banking services to its customers.
“With the opening of the branches especially in Kumasi and Lashibi, we are bringing a full range of banking services to support more families and businesses to realise their economic potentials,” he said.
Mr. Akapo announced that Access Bank is also rolling out a chain of electronic channels to facilitate branchless banking to serve corporate organisations and individuals. He noted that as a result of its investments in its people and technology, the bank has built the relevant capacity it requires to become a market leader in innovative financial solutions for customers.
