Telecom giant, MTN Ghana says the vision for the group is to lead the delivery of a new digital world by delivering a new digital revolution to Ghanaians
Speaking at an Editors Forum held in Ho, the Volta Regional capital, Corporate Services Executive, Cynthia Lumor said the company is committing more resources to expand its infrastructure to make it robust enough to meet the needs users.
She said, apart from participating in fiber roll-out in the eastern corridor, the company is also upgrading existing services to ensure that the demands that come along with the use of the digital solution is supported by the network.
Mrs Lumor also said they are also looking at using solar energy to feed areas without electricity to serve to underserve areas to allow people in rural communities to enjoy the network.

Mrs Lumor indicated that about 16 social intervention projects targeted at over 300,000 people would be undertaken in the Region in 2017.
She said, MTN has collaborated with Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), a governmental initiative, to provide mobile communications network at places that have none.
As of last year, the telecommunication giant paid GHC1.1 billion to government comprising GHC713 million to Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), GH₵C51.8 million to National Communications Authority (NCA)/GIFEC, GHC 258 million NCA (4G LTE) and GHC85 million Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).
