Imagine a 10-year-old girl defiled by a male adult who destroys her genital by the sheer force of the evil, illicit entry.
In a documentary set to air on the JoyNews channel on MultiTV and DSTV, award-winning investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni and senior broadcast journalist Adelaide Arthur chronicle the stories of three children badly raped and either left for dead or warned never to disclose their pain.
The documentary, titled Survivors, is a must-watch film highlighting how many children are living in fear and suffering various psychological problems all because of the misdirected urges of some men.
Adelaide, who recently finished her Masters degree at the University of Westminster, said "I was shocked to hear these stories from the children. I saw in their eyes a lot of fear, a lof anxiety, panic, horror!"
Manasseh said: "Our aim is to get justice for them. These irresponsible men must be made to face the law."
The broadcast dates are as follows:
Thursday 17th August @ 8:45am, Joy 99.7 FM
Monday 21st August @ 6:30am, JoyNews channel, MultiTV.
