After seeing Hearts of Oak with a five star performance, all eyes were on WAFA to repeat the magic when rivals Asante Kotoko also came to town in the outstanding Ghana Premier League tie.

And the academy side did not disappoint with another footballing lesson for arguably the biggest club in Ghana football.

The score line might not have been as huge as the 5-0 against Hearts of Oak but the effect could be as demoralizing for Kotoko as it had on the Phobians.

The youngsters dominated their more illustrious opponents with their perpetual passing and movement slicing Kotoko open time and again similar to a surgeon cutting opening his patient.

It was Kotoko’s first travel after their tragic accident in Nkawkaw and they may have been forgiven for a slow start.

As time went on, it was evident Kotoko’s gameplan was what they sought to achieve right from the onset, soaking up the pressure and catching WAFA on the break, The Porcupines Warriors lacked the firepower to threaten WAFA who had control of the game and a few sighters at goal as well.

Back from recess, WAFA moved up a gear and simply played Kotoko off the park. The Porcupine Warriors were pinned in their own half as they were duly punished when Prince Ampem’s goal bound shot was deflected off Felix Annan for the opener.

The result was proven beyond doubt when Daniel Lomotey sidefooted the second after he was played through on goal.

WAFA took their foot off the peddle but looked a threat anytime they went on the attack.

2-0 to the Sogakope side who move back to the top of the league log in what is set to be a photo finish . For Kotoko, a second straight loss on the road after a 1-0 defeat to Inter Allies on July 12.
