Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Abetifi constituency in the Kwahu South District on Wednesday spent several hours in a clean up exercise at Kwahu Praso, Obo, Nkwatia, Abetifi and Pepease as part of activities marking the 15th anniversary of the party.
Addressing them after the exercise at Abetifi, the District Chief Executive, Nana Onwona Asante, advised them to organize such exercises periodically and to interact with the people to explain government policies and programmes to them.
He urged them to educate the people on the need to register with the District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme.
Nana Asante also urged them to sensitise the people to send their children to school since the best way to eradicate ignorance, poverty and disease was through formal education.
The Constituency Secretary of the party, Mr Yaw Boye Akowuah commended the supporters on their turn up for the exercise.
