The Scottish Development International (SDI), a group of Scottish-based companies promoting international trade, will from next week visit Ghana, the British High Commission in Accra has said.The visit, scheduled for December 5 – 9, is the second visit to Ghana for SDI who will be leading a group of eight oil & gas companies, two educational establishments and one educational support agency.They will be promoting a wide range of products and services. These include calibration services, flow measurement solutions, concrete manufacture from waste material, subsea acoustics and positioning, telecoms and security systems, recruitment & consultancy, rig cooling, marine lighting and educational courses to support the oil & gas industry.According to a statement issued by the British High Commission, the mission participants have a range of objectives including looking for local representatives, qualified distributors or agents, partners and clients. Some will be researching the market for the first time, others will be building on existing contacts and all will be looking forward to making new contacts.Scottish Development International is the international economic development arm of Government in Scotland and provides a broad range of support to companies and institutions to help them develop their overseas business. Support includes international business development and inward investment enquiries.
