Renowned actor and producer, Roger Quartey, according to reports was attacked by armed robbers at the wee hours of Tuesday December 8 at his Spintex Road residence.
A source said that five armed robbers - four entering the house and one on guard outside - wielding guns and machetes stormed his residence that faithful day.
The robbers, according to the source, inflicted serious body wounds on the actor and some members of his family.
The robbers were said to have ‘hit’ the actor's neck and knee cap in an attempt to weaken him. They subsequently demanded money and his valuables and threatened to shoot and kill any member of the family who fails to cooperate.
The robbers made away with several valuable items including, laptops, mobile and unspecified amount of money. They, however, bolted after a neighbour raised an alarm after spotting the one on guard.
Roger was subsequently admitted and treated for injuries he sustained during the attack at the Inkoom Hospital on the Spintex Road. The source said he has been discharged Monday after days on admission.
Roger after starring in several productions recently started his own production outfit, Roger Q Productions. He has so far produced two movies namely, Death after Birth and Turn Me On.
