Ghana’s sensational gospel artist and winner of the 2011 MTN Ghana Music Awards “Best Gospel Song of the Year”, Cecelia Marfo says she would launch a foundation; “Cecelia Marfo Foundation” to raise funds for God’s work. She told Adom Entertainment News the foundation will raise money to support the spread of the gospel across the country to win more souls for Jesus Christ. “The official launch of the Foundation is scheduled for Sunday, 18 December 2011 at Tesano Baptist Church in Accra,” she said. Cecelia noted that the foundation is her way of paying back to society what she has received from God through the many people God has brought her way in the past few years. She said her focus would be prisoners, orphans and schools in both urban and rural areas. The Gospel songstress appealed to the general public, especially her fans to continue to support her to make the foundation successful. Some artistes slated for the launch include Nana Akosah, DSP Kofi Sarpong, Uncle Ato, Ernest Opoku Jnr and Gifty Osei. Adom FM and Flex newspaper are part of media sponsors.
