Vodafone Ghana has demonstrated its support for Journalism by awarding an exemplary student at the just ended graduation of the GIJ congregation.
Miss Jessica Acheampong, a new graduate from the Ghana Institute of Journalism was the proud recipient of a Samsung Wave II phone, GHC500.00 and a certificate of recognition from Vodafone Ghana for emerging the best student in Public Relations, Advertising, and Marketing.
Expressing her delight, Miss Acheampong noted “I cannot thank Vodafone for this special reward and recognition of my academic efforts. This is a pleasant surprise which I will forever be grateful for”.
Vodafone Ghana, in addition, has also given an internship opportunity to another student to work with the Corporate Communications Department for a year.
“This gesture from Vodafone Ghana is to further motivate the students to excel in their academic pursuits, and to demonstrate that great opportunities abound in the corporate world for excellent students”, Carmen Bruce-Annan, Head of Corporate Communications for Vodafone Ghana noted.
In all, 135 students graduated, comprising 98 females and 37 males.
