A group calling itself the Concerned Members of the NDC have been demonstrating in Accra to demand that members of the NPP cooperate with EOCO investigation in the Woyome judgement debt scandal. The group is protesting the refusal of some officials in the Kufuor administration to appear before EOCO which is investigating the Woyome judgment debt saga. Former Sports Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo and then Chairman of the Local Organizing committee Dr. Kofi Amoah have both declined EOCO’s invitation in accordance with a position taken by the NPP. Joy News’ Nana Essuman, who joined the demonstrators said they presented a petition to a Presidential Staffer, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije. They want the entire cabinet of 2005/06 to be hauled before the Economic and Organised Crimes Office to answer questions regarding their roles in the controversial judgement debt saga. The group also advised the NPP to stop their "noises" in the media and go to court if they believe they have a case. Mr Osafo Marfo is already in court seeking to bar EOCO from compelling him to appear before the investigative body. Mr Lantey Vanderpuije who received the petition promised the group the government will act on their concerns with dispatch.
