The Management and staff of the Bank of Ghana (BOG) have donated GH¢10,000.00 to the Akropong School for the Blind.
The amount represents proceeds from the offertory during the bank’s annual thanksgiving service held at the Banquet Hall of the State House.
The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Mr K.B. Amissah-Arthur who made the presentation to the School, said as a socially responsible organisation, the BOG has been making donations to several institutions and supporting worthy causes and considered it appropriate to donate to the Akropong School for the Blind this time.
A representative of the School, Mr. Emmanuel Tetteh expressed profound gratitude to the BOG for the donation and indicated that the School was going through untold hardships due to lack of funds.
He said the bank’s donation would go a long way to alleviate some of the problems of the School.
