He urged Assembly members to encourage their constituents to turnout massively during the referendum so that the voting requirement stipulated by the constitution would be met for the creation of the region.
Prof Nsiah-Gyabaah, who is the Secretary to the local committee campaigning for the creation of the new region in the area, called on Assembly Members to intensify community education on the referendum processes for the public to appreciate it.
He told the members that if the local people understood the processes, there would be no way that they would fail to participate in the voting process.
Mr Solomon Gyabaah, a member of the committee, which comprises traditional rulers and other key personalities in the area, said there were about 993,895 people in Bono East, according to the 2010 Population and Housing census.
Madam Dina Ataa-Kusiwaa, the Nkoranza South Municipal Chief Executive, praised the traditional rulers for their support towards development in the area and also championing the cause of the creation of the region.
Mr Kwame Adu Gyamfi, the Presiding Member of the Assembly, implored the members to bury their political differences and forge ahead in unity for the purpose of development.
