The Tema office of the Liberty Capital Ghana Limited (LCGL) went up in flames Monday, March 19, 2012. The fire outbreak which occurred around 9:30am during working hours was said to have been caused by the Electricity Company of Ghana’s power disruptions across the country.
However, the fire was put out minutes by LCGL staff before the arrival of two Ghana National Fire Service tenders.
A release issued by the Liberty Capital Ghana Limited praised the “swiftness of staff and its strong disaster management structures. LCGL is also grateful for the swift arrival of the Ghana National Fire Service officers.”
The statement also added: “LCGL is grateful to God for no injury, loss of life or of data. Work will be routed through the Osu offices of LCGL on Monday and the Tema Office will begin business as usual the following day, Tuesday March 20, 2012.”
