President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will host a cross-section of the media in Ghana today January 17 to mark one year of his administration.
Dubbed ‘Media Encounter’ top journalists in the country have the opportunity to ask questions on key topics – from security to the economy.
Wednesday’s exercise will be second such encounter with the media since the President took over the reins of government as Head of State.
A similar media encounter in July last year marked the President's six months in office, where he promised to meet the journalists every six months.

Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to recount measures that have been taken by his government to improve on the economic situation of Ghanaians and answer questions about some of the scandals that have rocked his administration.
Curious journalists will seek his comment on the BOST contaminated fuel scandal, A-Plus' corruption allegations against two deputy chiefs of staff, allegations of conflict of interest against the Finance Minister over the issuance of a Bond, the GHS800,000 budgetary allocation for the creation of a website for the Special Development Ministry, and the recent cash-for-seat scandal.
