The top eight winners of the UT Bank and Enablis Bussiness LaunchPad competition for the best SME business plan have been named at a ceremony in Accra.The final award ceremony was to celebrate the successful end of the second edition of the annual LaunchPad Competition in the country.Country Director of Enablis Ghana, Shika Acolatse, highlighted the impact Enablis is making in Ghana and encouraged business organizations to incorporate SME development in their Corporate Social Responsibility policies and support them to contribute to the economic growth of Ghana through Enablis programs.She explained the competition aims at creating a group of entrepreneurs who are inspired to create and expand their own business while encouraging participants to embrace innovation and creativity and to make their mark by turning their ideas into profitable businesses.Deputy Managing Director of UT Bank, Pearl Esuah Mensah, cautioned the winners that “it is not enough winning the award and being hailed. It is about seeing to the birth of a dream and growing it beyond you”.The overall winner, Linga Marful, swayed the judges with his practical business plan, SchoolChopBox.com.An Accountant by profession with years of industry experience both in Ghana and UK, he displayed unique business skills to solve personal needs at low cost.SchoolChopBox.com is a one stop shopping and delivery service that offers parents the opportunity to buy school needs from any part of the globe. This Mr. Marful hopes will simplify the whole school visit process for parents.The competition is an initiative of Enablis in collaboration with UT Bank, Accra Brewery Limited, Tropical Cables and Conductors Limited, SIC Insurance Limited, Sikkens, Business and Financial Times, DDP Outdoor, Graphicolor and IPMC.
