A 30-year old mason, has been jailed 13 years by an Aflao Circuit Court for defiling a 13-year old girl.
Wisdom Amedzi, alias Zome, pleaded not guilty.
Mr Akwesi Asafo-Agyei, Dzodze District Police Commander told the court presided over by Mr Francis Obiri that the victim lived with the mother at Penyi where Amedzi is also domiciled.
He said at about 1900 hours on November 13, last year, Amedzi, took advantage of the absence of the victim’s mother and sent her to buy fried eggs for him.
Mr Asafo-Agyei said when she returned, Amedzi asked her to place the eggs on the table in his room and then followed up and forcibly had sex with her.
Mr Asafo-Agyei said the victim revealed her ordeal to her mother who sent her to St Anthony Hospital where a medical report confirmed she has been defiled.
