The President of Ghana Institution of Engineers, Ing. Mrs Carlien Bou-Chedid has confirmed that the 4th edition of Engineering Excellence Awards has been slated for Thursday, February 22, 2018.
The event is scheduled to take place at the auditorium of the Academy of Arts and Sciences, near Opeibea House, Accra.
The prestigious annual Engineering Excellence Awards, organized by the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE) is to honour outstanding contributions of individuals or organizations, including engineering students who have demonstrated great potential for research in Engineering in the country leading to the transformation of engineering excellence and innovations.
Giving details of the categories to be awarded for the year 2017, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Ing. David Nyante revealed the following:
Practitioners/Projects Categories will attract 7 awards;
Research & Academic-Industrial Category will be given 2 awards;
Most Published Author (1 award);
Engineering Concepts and Innovations (1 award);
Engineering Business Management (1 award);
Implementation Of Engineering Solutions (1 award);
Distinguish Woman In Engineering Excellence (1 award);
Students And Young Innovators Categories (8 awards);
Innovation In Applied Science & Mathematics -JHS And SHS (4 awards);
Early Childhood Awareness & Engineering Potential (2 awards);
Outstanding Engineering Knowledge & Exemplary Achievement (2 awards);
Public Awards (2awards) And Engineering Evangelism (1 award).
The ceremony will attract seasoned Engineers, Council Members, past presidents of the Institution, Engineers across the country and the general public.
