Ms. Mary Animwah, Fanteakwa District Director of Education has urged stakeholders in education to review their strategies to enable them to meet challenges of the New Education Reform.
The District Director of Education made the call when she was distributing souvenirs to Kindergarten children at Otuater in the area, as part of activities marking "My first day at school," concept introduced by the Ministry of Education Science and Sports.
Ms. Animwah said the programme was to be observed at the beginning of each academic year to sensitise parents on the need to send their children to school and to provide them with the basic school needs.
She asked parents not to consider the occasion as a fun fare but to see it as a reminder to that they had a major role to play in the upkeep and education of their children.
"You must do well to visit the children regularly at school and find the problems they encounter for redress," Ms. Aniwah said.
She expressed optimism that the new concept would go a long way to sensitise all stakeholders to enable them to contribute to the development of education in the district.
